House For Hospice

A Home for Hospice

Where love and beauty surround you!

What is a Home for Hospice?

When a family or friend has made a hospice decision, and the end is near, the question becomes where should I pass? Sometimes passing away at home, with family, or in a hospital isn’t the right solution, for many reasons.

If the question is where hospice care should take place, RiverCare has an answer.

We will provide a homelike environment, that is open to all hospice care services, embracing all cultures, where families can be together at the end, and the hospice resident continues to have care and support.

Why Choose Hospice?

Going on hospice care provides dignity, alleviates suffering, and helps the family and friends prepare for the passing of a loved one.

Hospice is not giving up. Hospice is full of hope. Hospice in fact relieves suffering, promotes dignity, and facilitates closure for patients and families.

Choosing a Hospice Provider

What hospice programs can do

  • Manage pain and symptoms.
  • Provide drugs, medical supplies, and equipment.
  • Teach family members how to care for their loved one.
  • Offer short-term hospital care if symptoms become too difficult to manage at home or the caregiver needs a break.
  • Help with the emotional and spiritual aspects of death.
  • Deliver special services like speech and physical therapy.
  • Provide bereavement care and counseling to family and friends.
  •  Spokane has several Hospice Providers that are welcome to perform Hospice Services in RiverCare’s Home for Hospice.

Why Use a Home for Hospice?

The house for hospice works like a bed and breakfast, you stay at the Hospice House, much like a hotel stay, and the actual hospice care is provided by another agency. RiverCare is not a hospice agency.
