We will provide a homelike environment, that is open to all hospice care services, embracing all cultures, where families can be together at the end, and the hospice resident continues to have care and support.
Going on hospice care provides dignity, alleviates suffering, and helps the family and friends prepare for the passing of a loved one.
Hospice is not giving up. Hospice is full of hope. Hospice in fact relieves suffering, promotes dignity, and facilitates closure for patients and families.
What hospice programs can do
The house for hospice works like a bed and breakfast, you stay at the Hospice House, much like a hotel stay, and the actual hospice care is provided by another agency. RiverCare is not a hospice agency.
What people have said about choosing a House for Hospice:
It is too difficult to have my parent or partner die at home, but we don’t want to be in a hospital either…
I want my children or partner to spend time with me… unburdened and supported.
