RiverCare Launches Home Health Services
RiverCare Home Health is proud to announce that we are officially open and ready to serve Riverview residents!
Last year, Chandra Dunker, RiverCare Administrator, joined Riverview and launched RiverCare to meet the evolving needs of our community. RiverCare’s mission is to provide a comprehensive range of in-home care services that support comfort, independence, daily living, and aging in place.
Chandra shared the inspiration behind the program: “I wanted to make a difference and bring services I’ve worked with directly to Riverview residents. Supporting communities has always been a guiding passion for me.”
She also highlighted the growing demand for modern home health options, noting, “With baby boomers aging, home health care services are rising. People don’t want the same services as our grandparents.”
RiverCare’s Home Care services include assistance with personal care, hygiene, light housekeeping, shopping, meal preparation, and companionship. In addition, residents now can receive skilled medical support at home, such as nursing care and physical or occupational therapy through our Home Health services. Our clinical team visits residents under a physician’s referral, particularly after a change in health or a hospital stay, helping reduce the need for travel to outpatient appointments.
As a certified Medicare Home Health provider, RiverCare is dedicated to helping residents remain safely and comfortably at home while reducing the need for hospitalizations or skilled nursing stays. These valuable services are covered under Medicare Part A.
With the support of Riverview Therapy, RiverCare’s Home Health will be able to provide a true continuum of care using many of the same therapists. This consistency will allow for comprehensive therapy services from home-based care to outpatient treatment. It will lead to better outcomes and improved services through enhanced communication and expanded goals.
Looking ahead, with Riverview’s new Independent Living buildings the Heights and the Crest planned in the coming years, Chandra anticipates significant growth: “ With the addition of those new buildings, our services will grow exponentially.”
