The Riverview Terrace apartments include a variety of floorplans including studios and one-bedroom apartments for both assisted living and independent living adults. We are one of the few Spokane area senior living facilities that allows the resident to start as independent and change to assisted living in the same room! No moving required! Room and board rental is month to month, no buy in is required in our Terrace Apartments.
Everyone that lives at the Terrace, is part of the assisted living program which includes a pendant, 24/7 licensed nurse on staff, three nutritious meals a day plus snacks, water, coffee and other beverages all day, internet, basic cable, light housekeeping, and access to all activities presented on our senior living campus.
We welcome independent residents that just want the basics when it comes to service – what we call “cruise ship” living. However, if you need further assistance, we manage a wide variety of medical conditions including insulin dependent diabetes, wound care, and ostomies. We also are able to manage your medication, provide bathing, and support you through the aging process. We determine what you need as part of a care conference with you, our nursing team, and any other support person you wish to attend.

Riverview does not use tiers or points, instead we charge for the services you need, when you need them. We call the services we provide a “level of care”. We determine this level of care through a free assessment before you commit to living in our Spokane retirement community, so you know all the costs up front. Many people ask what is the typical cost for care? In most cases, in addition to room and board costs, lightly assisted residents can expect to pay about $650-$1,050 a month, and heavier care residents can expect to pay $1,050 to $2,250 a month. Every resident has different assisted living needs, which is why an assessment up front can help determine your actual care costs.

If you choose Independent Living at Riverview, you stay in the room you love if you need to switch to Assisted Living. Other senior living communities in Spokane will require a move to an assisted living apartment once you are no longer able to live independently. Riverview has studio apartments, 1-bedroom apartments, and a few other alternative apartment sizes for rent on a monthly basis for both assisted and independent living.
Riverview Retirement Community can provide care from independent living to complex assisted living. In our assisted living building, The Terrace, you can stay in the same room as your care needs change. We provide escorting services to meals and activities, toileting, dressing, bathing, medication management and other activities of daily living. With a nurse on campus 24/7 we can assist with many care needs as long as the care needed is steady and predictable. We will assess your needs prior to move in to determine your level of care, and we will continue to assess you yearly, or sooner if your situation is changing more rapidly.
Riverview Retirement Community meets, at least, the staffing guidelines set by the Department of Health and Human Services, which is based on the acuity of the residents that live with us. However, we strive to maintain a consistent staff-to-resident ratio and we are the only AL in the Spokane area that staffs a nurse 24/7. Many of our employees have been with Riverview for at least five years.
