Riverview's Rehabilitation Center offers four types of therapy: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Therapy, and Aquatic Therapy.
Physical therapy centers around restoring body function through mobility, decreasing pain, and prevention of injuries.
Occupational therapy involves strengthening functional mobility, balance, range of motion, and body awareness through a series of daily functions.
Speech therapy focuses on promoting verbal communication and strengthening one's ability to swallow.
Aquatic therapy consists of treatments and exercises performed in water for physical rehabilitation, fitness, and therapeutic benefit.
Riverview not only uses traditional balance rehabilitation practices, but also offers advanced technology like the Biodex System SD. Primarily, the Biodex System is a high-tech device used to measure and record an individual's balance rehabilitation through a series of muscle testing. The Biodex System offers dual tasking activities, while simultaneously simulates multi-directional weight shifting, ankle and hip strengthening, and balance recovery.
